Smartprix, Yogesh Brad and Yawn together create design renders of OnePlus Open 2 shared Are. This is the first leak related to the design of the upcoming foldable. The image hints that OnePlus is making some changes to its successor compared to the existing OnePlus. The camera module appears to be larger than the Open, but the bulk seems comparatively less. It also reveals that the upcoming foldable phone will have three rear cameras. And there will also be Hasselblad branding in the form of ‘H’ letter. The LED flash is placed outside the camera island on the left corner.
Additionally, the OnePlus Open 2 appears to have curved edges in the renders. The phone is shown in black color. However, the phone may be offered in more than one color option, similar to the OnePlus Open.
The report suggests that the device will be 10mm thick when folded. Let us tell you, the thinnest foldable device currently available in the market is Honor Magic V3, which is only 9.2mm when folded. The report further claims that the OnePlus Open 2 will come with an IPX8 rating, which will be an upgrade from the IPX4 rating of the OnePlus Open.
OnePlus Open 2 is expected to come with an 8-inch 2K LTPO main display and a 6.4-inch AMOLED cover screen. The phone can be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Its triple rear camera setup is expected to have three 50-megapixel sensors, which can be main, ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. The phone is expected to have 32-megapixel and 20-megapixel front camera. If reports are to be believed, it may have a 5,900mAh battery with 80W charging.
